Found this little one today. I guess I should spend a bit more time looking today.

Darts with parasites are analogous to mixed tanks, there are no known benefits to the frogs with either.

Thanks Jason,
I just found another one in a brom, got it out fairly easily.
The first one was just sitting out on a broad leaf, easy pick up.
I plan on shining as many broms as I can see into.

Really cool. Are you gonna pull the ones you find? Im guessing you would have to in a viv that big, it would be hard to have enough springtails in there. Keep us all posted on how many you find!!

Yeh, I am pulling them Jason. They both look like they are at least a week old, maybe older. Nice and big compared to Nancies or Bastis freshly morphed. I have done a good deal of seading with springtails , but pulling them will let me keep a better watch on them. These are the first ones produced from the Darkland WCs.

hey rich how long did you have those pumilos in the tank for them to breed. is it about 2 months now.
geeze it must be tough looking for little black frogs. would be tough just to look for the brightly colored ones in that size viv.

Thanks guys,
It has been a little over two months since they were placed in the Uberviv.
It could be a pain trying to find all of the froglets. I would assume that in a number of months I will have more than a 1:3 group in there. That's OK with me .

Rich,

Thanks for sharing the picture. I was wondering how those frogs and that huge setup were doing.

Ok...hmm....well...name your price!!! i'll start saving Wink (i cant decide if im kidding)

Oh i actually also meant to ask, if you already had some captive bred, or other wc darklands other then the pair that produced these froglets, cuz i saw those darkland pictures up on your sight along time ago and thought you'd been producing them for some time...but i've only been active on the boards the last couple months so only recently became aware of how rare they are.
