Nice! Are you going to start selling the EcoZone Controllers? I am very interested in getting one to run my bars, as I could do away with all my timers set with staggered on/offs.

yes.

But for the record... this one in the video is just a prototype.

So --
they will be ready soon... but I don't now how soon.

Tony would have to tell us that.

I am excited too... for the record! LOL

sorry to say but his presentation did not sell me. it was blurry and jiggley. plus I didn't see any difference in how bright the light was when he powered up or down.
should of had one camera man to steady the camera and him narrating.

I know I know...
But Tony was not making this as the final polished presentation... it was just more of a preliminary as this is just the prototype EcoZone and the whole thing is a few months off from market.
Call it more of a sneak peak.
Plus...To see the Jungle Dawn Power Pro LED bars in "real life" ... they are a bit more impressive. Smile

The real thing that matters ---
that everyone all starry eyed over the physical technology forgets,
is ....

THE QUALITY OF THE LIGHT!

that is the real "proof of the pudding".

I find allot of folks that want to get in on the LED "CraZe" and go all ga ga goo goo on this or that...
well...
sometimes I wish they could REALLY focus on the thing that matters most.
The quality of the light being emitted.
And its color rendering properties for the plants, frogs, reptiles (and even now freshwater tanks with Jungle Dawn™)

You see...
There is really only ONE spectral template for light that matters when dealing with vivariums.
And to see what that template is and the one to shoot for is...
all one has to do is look out the window on a nice clear day.

The real LED winner is going to be the one that can produce light THE CLOSEST TO NATURAL FULL SPECTRUM DAY-LIGHT.

And so far with these bars, these bars have the closest I have been able to come to natural looking day-light.
(and I have done about a gazzzillion++ versions of LED Diode ratios, colors & compositions... before landing on this particular mixed diode set up.)

Now before anyone asks (!!!) , please hold on.
I am still waiting on the computer test spectral analysis's to come back from the UK.
(That is where I send lights off to be tested.)
(LYR pays a 3rd party to do that and UV testing.)

But I am pleased to say that in side by side visual comparisons with natural sun, full spectrum flo. etc. ... these bars have performed as well or better than all others I have worked with.

If you are really into light..... and familiar with LED... it is well known that it is hard to get a REAL full spectrum light off LED diodes because of where they ALL land as far as the red, turquoise / cyan and purple bands of the spectrum - when compared to natural sunlight.

But I keep on trying! Big Grin

Sorry, didn't mean to ramble, but here are a few pics customers have sent me.
These are from the first batch of clients to receive these custom made bars.
They have given me the OK to show them off... and I thank them for that.

Thank you!
Cheers!
Todd

ps. these or the ecozone are not on the lyr web-site yet.
they are still new and the bars are only by custom order as of right now. please e/m with any ?'s.
Smile

it was the video he made that I really didn't like. i have your lights I guess the old version now.
my question is how long till I don't see spots in front of me. Smile I made the mistake of not turning the lights away from my eyes when I plugged them in. like I said my comment was more about the video that was made for the product. the lights I like, slim and bright.

yes...
I understand you were commenting on the video...
and you are right...it is not very polished.
and I went off topic a bit.
But you know me ....I will grab any opportunity to get the info out there. Smile

And I am glad you like the Bars.
Thank you!

Cheers!
