Pretty neat. Was it difficult getting the film cans to stay in place?

Nah, I just think they ugly.
I usually just flip the viv on to which ever side I am using. I am not done carving the foam but once I am I will put a cocofiber/peatmoss mixed with titebond III all over the foam . The plants usually grow very well on it. -Byron

Darts with parasites are analogous to mixed tanks, there are no known benefits to the frogs with either.

I made some vivs using style you have in pics. I have moss and other mystery plants growing where ever I put coco bark and spag over silicon... looks cool. I also cut cork tubes and made caves along the sides. The frogs use these as well as the stuffed film can pockets. In hindsight, I would only cover 2 sides of a viv so more natural light can fill the tank. I prefer low watt LEDs to keep cool and reduce stress of frogs.

I think you have your pics set to a smaller size - probably due to your recent quest for a cool avatar. The best thing to do is just post pics directly to the thread post instead of going thru the gallery.

Years ago I was using schedule 40 1-1/4" PVC to sleeve the film cans embedded into the walls I built. It fits the film cans perfectly and the cans can be slid in and out very easily. It helps tons with thumbs and such when you want to remove the can and switch them out, wash them, etc.

Why did you stop?
I just did it because I didn't want to see the film canisters. I think they look ugly in a viv. My goal was to make the viv with the right balance of a display and function. -Byron
