Even 'Save the Frogs' is having a tough time !

It's bad for everyone....things are still tight as evidenced here:

Dr. KK cannot even raise $10,000.00 in 2-3 months. I would have guessed this crowd sourced fundraiser would have done better, but there ya go. Things are down...

BUT...please note that if "STF' does NOT meet its financial goal, it will still be keeping all the pledged monies. Interesting.

Thoughts ?

Here's my thought....
Suck it Krieger, you arrogant PETA loving bastard. With any luck some flesh eating bacteria will attack your testicles while you're in Colombia spreading your propaganda.

I hate that this idiot got free publicity here, considering he despises what we all do.

Wow...I keep checking in on this and just noticed that almost 1/2 of the monies raised is 1 person !!

Seriously, this is important to note. All politics aside, if KK cannot ( I konstantly resist the urge to say K.K Kannot ) raise even a moderate to 'not large' sum of money, then I fear for efforts close to our own hobby hearts like AA, TWI,ect.

Wow...sobering how tight $$ is right now.

I found this on their web page: http://savethefrogs.com/threats/pets/index.html
"The Treewalkers study found chytrid in the pet trade as well. 0.7% of millions of frogs is a lot of chytrid, and their study was biased toward the small sector of the pet industry that actually cares somewhat about chytrid. Most vendors do not care."
Ridiculous that it was cited considering how few samples they collected....

Correct Beth. We could spend all day and night on the false propaganda he directs toward the pet industry, if we wanted to.

...and the fact that there was no individual testing per animal. All swabs per person were lumped together so you only got a positive or negative. Positive could mean one positive out of 5, culd mean 5 of 5. I never understood why TWI would not give positive or negative per sample.
This guy is going nowhere. Anybody who reads his stuff can tell right away what he is about. He would be a perfect partner for PETA. Same-same.
Nothing to see here.
Darts with parasites are analogous to mixed tanks, there are no known benefits to the frogs with either.
