Hello everyone Im new to the hobby but already addicted. I had a couple mantellas over 10 yrs ago and have wanted PDF's ever since. Unfortunately I did what Im not supposed to do and got 2 Patricias and 2 Azureus on an impulse buy about a month ago.
I took the store owners advice and put all 4 of them into a 24x18x18 Exo Terra tank. It was my fault, after having saltwater aquariums for 6 years I know better than to impulse buy and take just one persons advice on care. Anyway after a ton of research on this forum and other forums(my girlfriend calls it my porn) I realized my mistake and I currently have another 24x18x24 tank set up to eventually move the Azureus into. Im letting the springtails and plants get a foothold before I move them in there. The Azureus seem to enjoy the height more than the Patricias so I figure theyll like this setup. All the frogs are eating well but one of my Patricias is very shy and I think its from the over crowded tank. I havnt seen any bullying(the Azureus are a bit bigger) but that doesnt mean its not happening. Sorry for the novel just wanted to say hi and thank everyone for helping me realize my mistakes and help my frogs have a better life!

Don't beat yourself up, you are doing your research and doing your damage control, so it's all good. We in the hobby tend to get riled up when people KNOW they are doing wrong, and continue to do it anyway, whether out of laziness, stupidity, or greed, etc.
Are your frogs still froglets, or are they grown? I don't have Patricias (on my want list though!) but I do have Azureus, and I think you will love them! Mine are so bold, out most of the time, and extremely entertaining. Mine do enjoy the vertical space too, so I'm glad you are giving their viv some height.
Please post a lot, and also post pix of your viv and your frogs!

Thanks everyone! They are still juveniles I wouldnt call them froglets but not full grown. The Patricias are awesome Diane! Definitely glad I got them. Hope these pics work the add attachment button said the files were too large

Thanks for posting the pictures Korey! One thing you might consider before relocating frogs would be to run fecals and swabs on your animals before putting them in the new enclosure. If they have any worms or are carrying any diseases you could treat prior to putting them in their final enclosure. Overall the hobby seems to be trending toward more testing.
