Earthworms bad?

I recently saw an earth worm in my vitattus tank and wasnt sure if the earth worm can be harmful or not.. honestly not even sure how it got in there, but its there. To my understanding, they just eat dead matter just like springtails do. But can it be harmful? Let me know what you think
