Hello everyone
#1
Just wanted to say hello to everyone. Im a newb to frogs but always wanted to get into the hobby. I owned a snake before and am real excited to start, and from what I have been reading, its alot more work which should be fun. I am reading as much as I can on this board, any tips are welcome as well.

Thanks guys.

Welcome!

I try telling my wife that snakes would be less work than frogs, but she won't have it. Truthfully, the frogs are pretty easy when things are setup right.

Some will say that you must first master the art of fruit flies, but those guys are so easy that it won't take much practice. Just do tons of reading (online has the best resources). Books have decent info, but nothing you won't find on here or throughout the web. Books are good for the pictures though.

Thats exactly why I had to get rid of my snake, my wife just hated it and she is definately happier that I want a frog. In fact there is a reptile show coming down the street from here and I have gotten the "OK" to do as I please. Is it a good idea to purchase at these shows? Shipping is pretty crucial this time of the year from what I have seen.

Shipping is very stressful for a frog especially this time of year in the north. But, I have seen some very sickly frogs at shows. If the frogs look healthy then getting them at the show is cheaper and less stressful on the frog.
