TN Froggers 2006 meeting
#1
Hey TN Froggers,

ok, let's get this first meeting off the ground.
how does January or February sound for a first meeting? December is usually waaaaaay too busy for everyone, so the new year would be a great place to start.
What day: saturday or sunday? and what city: nashville, cookeville, or knoxville, do we want to meet? if we can get that nailed down, then we can get the date from there.
also, some things to think on, should we start meeting bimonthly or quarterly from there on?

hope to hear from you soon, ~Lauren

here is a message from the host and hostess, Carl & Sherry Taylor, of the April 30th meeting:

Posted: Mon Apr 03, 2006 7:06 pm Post subject: TN FROGGERS APRIL 30 MEETING

Big Grin "We will be hosting the next TN Froggers meeting on Sunday, April 30, at our home in Cookeville, TN. The date is set, and everyone is welcome to show up anytime from noon on. We are still deciding on a time to start the "official" meeting since some members will be driving a long distance. We will have nibbles and snacks along with cold drinks, and I hope to be able to smoke some ribs and have a cookout. If it is too cold or wet for a cookout, my wife will have a light buffet ready. Directions from Route 40 at Cookeville to our home will be posted later, or PM me for my address so you can do a Mapquest search for directions from your location."

more information will be posted as it becomes available...

I know this thread is from 2006 but I wonder if there are still current meetings of this group. In recent weeks I have came across several TN froggers and they seem to be interested in other TN froggers. If you used to be in the group and know its status any information would be appreciated. Also if it is no longer active I would be interested in helping to start it back up.

Thanks
Jesse

Glad there is some interest. If we get some more people interested maybe we could shoot for a meeting around the first of the year after the holiday rush. I will do what I can to bring this to the attention of other TN dart frog keepers that I know of. If you have any ideas on what kind of help is needed to start things let me know and I would be happy to help. By the way the leucs I got from you a couple of years ago are breeding now and look great.

A meeting after the holidays would be great. We need a place to meet first of all and then work on a date. I will have froglets by that time too, so it would be a great trading/buying opportunity too.
I know of several people who would be interested in the meetings if we get this going again.
Good to hear your leucs are doing well!
