Where to buy fabric coted lids?

The standard fruit fly lids that have the holes which are covered up with a type of fabric. Josh's used to carry them now they just have lids with holes in them.

Did something happen in the last two months with these lids? I buy in quantity and my supply is almost out and I can't find these lids.

Does anyone know where to buy them?

Man, the lids are SO easy to wash and reuse. I have 12 year old lids.

I never thought of reusing them. Mine get pretty nasty looking.

srod, someone suggested NEHerp and I wanted ahead and bought some there. I've been so use to purchasing things from a few places I wasn't aware of another places to buy them.

I hit my lids in the kitchen sink with the spray handle and hot water. Two seconds and they look like new.

These are the best lids to use folks...the ONLY lid I would recommend.

Just a FYI, Fabri-Kal is not making the fabric coated lids anymore. My best advice is to keep them and soak in a bleach solution let them air dry and re-use them.

Well, I'll just say they're taking care of it. They had them picked up at my house and are giving me a refund. Handling it with class. They took what I perceive to be a bad transaction and in some ways made it a good transaction, which is the mark of a good business.

I wouldn't even go as far as to say 'bad business'....only call it 'substituted lids'. Just a product thing, not a bad or a deceitful thing.

I think it would still be helpful if you named the company and thereby aided the hobby and allowed futures readers to decide for themselves if they want the new lids. Naming them would also have the added benefit of showing everyone a class act business willing to do whatever it takes to make the customer happy.

The one downside is there website is has real issues with getting what you want using the menus. I saw something they had at a show once and could not find it on their website until I went carefully through every menu lol. And funny enough I just thought I should get some of this and now I cant find it again.

They seem to specialize in making all sorts of great lids for all different applications.

IMO if at some point you significantly change a product you can no longer call it the same product. In the case of changing a fabric coated lid to a perforated lid I think this easily qualifies. A major warning should be given for any vendor that is changing over to these lids and they should have a clearly different name and description as well as not be stored under the same product number. It seems obvious to me that if the community wanted perforated lids those would have been SOOOOO much easier to make so long ago that is all we would have ever used.

If you want to buy some regular lids, this is how I did mine. I get the screen meshes and I would be willing to sell you some pM me if interested if you do it right you can get 2 lids out of one screen.
