Hoping for some guidance, I'm building a fairly large vivarium for dart frogs, 40x20x40, I have a mistking misting system for it, and I know something this large will require good lighting to reach the bottom for the plants, I love the idea of the jungle hobbies advanced double led but they are quite pricey. Can anyone recommend something similar as an alternative which won't cost $1k? (I'm in Canada).
Thanks

You want to look into high intensity grow lights - the kind readily available at your local hydroponics store, if you get my meaning. I use many of them and even amaz-on has some. High intensity is not readily found in the animal hobbies.

You have a few options in my opinion. You can go the hydroponic light as Phil suggested. I know the owner of Thrive Ecosystems who makes some nice lights and I have had good success with those. You can also use some amazon spotlights to help hit the lower areas, the lepower work great for this and are pretty cheap for a two pack ($36), combined with some lower power shop lights from home depot to get a budget setup.
