Love to see the pistons lose personally. Next time the broms can be better, but we bought bulk instead of individuals this time around. Next time its smaller order for future trade, its time to expand the collection.
Your stuff and service was excellent Jace. My Pistons are known to pull stuff out of there behinds to come back from behind.
Detroit needs something to look forward to.....

Try and find two (or more, I may have missed one or two) frogs in this pic. Confusedhock:

Rich,

Thanks for posting the link, sorry to hear you are a Pistons fan. I am from San Antonio. It will be tough for the Piston to win in SA. Spurs have only lost 5 all season at home.

Mike
I suppose we should gather again on Thursday....ye SA fans!!
Detroit..........

DartFrog

Rich,

They played a great game last night. It should be another good one on Thursday.

Mike
Congrats Mike, heck of a series.

Rich

DartFrog

Rich,

It was a great series, I didnt fell like we had it until that last couple of minutes. Thats the way a series should be.

Rich,

What are your thoughts on a outside green house for frogs. Something that is about 6x8. I guess it would need climate control for both winter and summer. I would do this in south Texas. The other option would be to put it inside I guess but then I would have to light it, of course if it is outside then I would have to put in something for cooling and heating. Accessing in the winter might be a problem I guess if cold air were to rush in when I opened the door that could cause problems.

Mike
Mike,
An outside greenhouse takes tons of planning, tons. And tons of $$$. Double doors, heating/cooling, ect. Bug thought, plant thought.
A big deal.
An inside/smaller one seemed easier and more practical , for what I was going for.

Rich

DartFrog

Yeah,

Kind of what I was thinking too.

Mike
hey rich, i'm on dendroboard and karen h sent me to this thread because of a question i posted there. i'm working on a 4x4x2.5 viv and want to put amazonicus in it. they will be my first thumbnails, and i don't want to bite off more than i can chew. i've done killifish, carnivorous plants and other high maintainance hobbies for years, and have a few larger frogs, so i sorta know what i'm getting into, but any words of wisdom/warning/encouragement would be profoundly appreciated. i don't want to hijack the thread, but thought others would also be interested on your take on thumbs in large vivs in general. if it is more appropriate you can pm me or email me at mariaurbana23@hotmail.com.
Hi Mack,
Welcome.
Amazonicus, vents, and such ....interesting group of frogs.
My experience with the above frogs has been less than wonderful. The frogs I had were very bad display animals , meaning they were always hiding. No matter how much cover , or how many hiding spots. I have talked to others who claim their vent group frogs are very outgoing, this is just not my experience. I no longer own amazonicus or any vents.
That being said. The only downfall I can see to housing any Darts in a very large enclosure is the fact that it may be harder to capture a sick/injured animal. The fact that they were hard to find when placed would also be a factor for capture. Many frogs are not easy to catch , even in a small viv. this is one of the reasons it is soooo important to quarantine your animals, get fecals, get an idea about the state of health of your frogs, before you place them ni viv.
I would say that a group of as many as you like would do fine in a viv that size, all things equal.
Good luck, feel free to ask any questions.

Rich
Not a great pic. The downside to a huge viv.
Transporting!
