Yeah got to say this appeals to me too Field, it would be fascinating,i've half wondered that they might be perfect candidates for a mixed viv apart from the fact that only the frogs would know whom is whom,so a bit tongue in cheek that statement,but to have them as you say side by side would really make for some great observations,good eyes might just learn more because of the differences than just keeping one or other species on its own,

Caught another transport today:

I wonder if epips have one of the largest transport amounts.

I also wonder if that Genus eats their young more than other dart frogs.

It makes me wonder if they an evolutionary step forward. I know Darts are considered advanced among frogs due to parental care. The norm for Dart Frogs is to transport one at a time, so when a Dart transports many or all tads at once is that considered a step forward? To me it means one trip to the water for the parent where it's moving and exposed to preadtors as opposed to multiple trips with single tads.

I love my S.I's , but I have never seen a transport amount like field's and not that I really want to, as the supply for them has outgrown the demand...more's the pity.

Very true...most of the local froggers are now anthonyi keepers, I'm running out of places for them to go and I have TONS of tads in the water right now.

Hey Phil, I didn't notice the one hiding under the leaf until after I posted the pic...thought I only had 7 growing out, then counted one day when I fed and there were actually 8!

You may have to do a count every day. Are they cloning themselves in that viv?

For anyone considering galacs, all I have to say is GET THEM! I love mine; colorful, bold, hardy...really can't understand why they aren't more common. Seems like the focus is on red galacs lately...the solid oranges are amazing in person.

Took a (crappy) shot of some leucs today...I'm thinkin 3 ladies (or maybe 1 fella and 2 ladies):
