howdy,

my name is mack and i own/participate in a coffeehouse/art collective called z'otz in new orleans. we don't have a website yet(long story), but you can google us or look at the profile someone put up on myspace.com. i love critters, and yeah i count plants as critters. my focus has been carnivorous plants and killifish, but i'm starting to replace the fishtanks with frogtanks. i'm a newbie to frogs, but feel like i'm starting to get the hang of things due to all the tremendous help i've gotten from great people who take the time to post places like dartden.

Hey all,
I have been reading the board for the past few months but not posting. So I wanted to introduce myself to everyone. My name is Rob Ossiboff, but everyone calls me Oz. I am 3rd year DVM/PhD student at Cornell with a keen interest in herps and viruses. I look forward to good conversations, and it is good to see some familiar faces here as well as new ones.

*Edited for spelling - yeah - it was a couple of years late - but the Firefox spellchecker wasn't as good then

Well, my name's Eileen and I'm pretty new to the forum and only just became the owner of 3 darts purchased at Black Jungle. I live in Ct and started out in aquariums...seem to be moving up in the world. I have a zillion tanks from 1/2 gallons....1 gallons, 2's, 5's, 10's a 15.....20long and 29.......and now 2 dart frog viveriums....a small 5 gallon which is temporarily houseing the G&B auratus and a 20long where my Oelemari and Citronella live..(it's divided).. My daughter has a 20 tall in her room for the G&B after he grows a bit.

I also own 2 red bellied newts which live in a 5 gallon river tank setup...with a female betta in the water section. (there's a pic of that and some of my tanks at the link in my signature)....so far I have successfully bred one batch of bettas (over 200 Confusedhock: !! )....german blue rams...and have a batch of HB pastel guppies growing out in one of my 10's.

I am very into my violin/fiddle when not cleaning fish tanks or feeding frogs...lol...

and I guess that's it because I don't think anyone will want to read much more of this...lol Tongue

Hey guys, My name is James and I am from New Orleans LA, I am 23 year old kid and always will be. I recently moved to Hollywood CA for grad school. I am a computer animation major. You can check out my homepage if you want to see what kind of work I do.
http://www.james-little.com

I got into frogs when I was 9, my mom works for the Audubon Zoo Institute in New Orleans. I always loved frogs so when I was nine my mom introduced me to the reptile curators at the zoo and we hit it off immediately, I began to learn very quickly anything and everything from them. They started me on Whites treefrogs blue phase and Red Eyed treefrogs. I still have my first Red Eye! He is 14 but still looks 2. Who said frogs only live 5 years? When the Audubon Aquarium of the Americas was built I met the guy who was heading up the husbandry department there, and he was a huge influence on me. He had a massive dart fog collection and he gave me a few to start with. My first dart frogs were D. Azureus a pair of them, they did fine so he started giving me more frogs. I recieved 2 pairs of Orange terriblis, a pair of bicolors, and a pair of leucomelas. They did great. I ended up giving them back after a few years because I had to go to stay away camp for 3 months at a time in canada. Well anyway I will stop ranting now. Don't want to write a novel. LOL. But thats a little about me.

James

Hi all,

I currently have a 44 gal bowfront, a large ExoTerra cube, 2 custom 12x12x16 cubes, and a few small tanks (growing plants in the small tanks).

I am looking forward to getting a few cubes from Paul at FCA.....also looking for a proven pair or Terribilis. Looking for Mint, however Orange or Yellow would be ever better :-)

Seeing that we have a few new members....
BUMP
Darts with parasites are analogous to mixed tanks, there are no known benefits to the frogs with either.

If tone is more important to you than content, you are at the wrong place.

My name is Andy, I live in Dearborn, MI, I am 43 years old, been into darts for about 20 years. I used to have some groups of Tricolors and Auratus, when I first started. I just recently got into it again, a little deeper this time. I currently have a breeding group of blue & black Auratus, that I got from Pat Nabors in 2002, I also have been expanding my collection since then, that now includes: Three groups of Auratus(N), & groups of Vents(SS), Pan Lamasi(PT), Cobalts(N), Imitators(N), and Oyapoks(N). I work for the city of Detroit Water and Sewerage Dept, I basically repair phone equipment and telephone switching equipment. My other hobbies include: Playing guitar, drums, playing computer games, fishing, traveling and vacationing with my beautiful wife of 8 months, and going to concerts/shows. I think my favorite frogs right now are the Cayo De Agua Pumilio. I dont currently keep any, but I will hopefully get some soon. (been drooling over Richs advert), also like to get some White or Gold dust Pums too. Its nice to be a member of another board, as I like the candid nature and looser constraints on the subject matter. I have been surfing frognet for years & have been on DB for a little while now, and have a gallery there.
Looking forward to sharing my experiences/knowledge with everyone here, and Im sure Ill learn a thing or two in the process.
