My name is Brian and I live in So. Cal. I have only been searching through this forum for a few weeks, but have been on others for a little over six months. I Have only been keeping darts for about 6 months and am officially addicted! I have even taken my only spare room in my house and designated it the "Frog Room", which I allow my pair of pythons to reside in. I read through frog related user forums daily and participate when I can. I am 28 and 1/2 own/manage an auto body shop. I play bass guitar and I visit Amsterdam as often as possible. Some day I will get my helicopter license, retire and move to Costa Rica. I am still trying to meet locals (San Bernardino/Riverside) who also keep or breed PDF's. I will ask dumb questions from time to time (after I use the search option) and hope nobody chews my a@$ off too bad. I currently have 1.1 Azureus', 0.0.1 G&B Auratus, 0.0.1 powder blue, 1.0 Imitator and have a pair of Luecs coming in the next week or 2. In the past, I have kept Jacksons chameleons, D'alberts pythons, red tail boas, burmese pythons and black widows(not so much for hobby, but for fun!)

I'm new to this forum and my name is Mike. I generally like being outside (currently outdoors with laptop as I write). I'm 27 and married with one child. My family and I live in VA, near D.C., but plan to move to more rural surroundings once I graduate from George Mason University. I'm new to PDFs and vivariums. I joined this forum in addition as I feel it can't hurt to share with and learn from as many others as possible. It's really nice that forums such as these exist for such a unique interests as Dart Frogs, etc. I'm almost finished tweaking my first vivarium for PDFs and am eager to show and tell. I'll post some pics shortly...

Thanks for the welcome, Cindy! I'm currently interested in D. pumilio, but I still have much in the way of environmental stabilization to complete before I'll be ready... More planting (larger broms, orchids), fan for air circulation, etc
This viv has been up for over three weeks. Most of the plants look good, though I think a number of the Tillandsia won't make it; it's pretty moist most of the time. If anyone has comments or suggestion or can spot any obvious flaws, I welcome any and all!
I have a photo journal of the building process, which I will probably post in the construction forum.

What size is your tank?
Tillandsias can be tricky, if there is a place on the back wall that you could mount them they might work. They usually do better if they receive very little direct misting, they are ok on just high humidity.
Thanks for the tip, Cindy, I'll cut back on misting. I was trying to do so only once a week, but I see what you mean.
This acrylic is 20Wx20Dx16"H, haven't tried to translate into gallons. 
This tank is pretty short compared to what most recommend for pumilio, but I've spoken with others who describe the natural location pumilio to be on the ground most of the time. I'm adding a few larger broms than those I have already to give the pums more high area to use and as possible tad rearing sites. Not sure if I will ever attempt breeding them... Does this info sound familiar?

Alright here we go, Ive been a lurker here for some time.
My names Chris. Im 24, 25 in December. Ive worked aquarium retail for the last 5th of my life and currently in the process of getting licensed to be a loan officer.
My dart experience began a year and a half ago maintaining a huge 350G dart viv in a restaurant. They seemed easy enough (mixed adults of tincs and leucs) but I told myself I dont need anymore animals. After about 6 months of taking care of that tank I caved in and dropped half a grand on some F1 babies from Patricia at Vanishing Jewels.
Ive also over the years had many different kinds of parrots, fish (SW, FW and reef), lizards, snakes, hamsters, and numerous other critters, much to my parents dismay...

I'm currently keeping 1.2 brown anoles and 1 hatching with several eggs in the cage, 1.1 green anoles, 1.0 fivelined skink, 1.0 eastern painted turtle, 1.0 redear sliders and a couple tropical fish tanks. I plan on getting 3 D. leucomelas and a reef tank.

Married w/ 2 kids (3 & 5) and I own a bbq and a gelato shop in a college town.
I have owned darts for about 2 years and find them to be fascinating and beautiful. I have taken things slowly as far as amassing a collection. My children and I love to watch the frogs behaviors and learning about conservation and environmental and geographical issues. I have a trio of Cobalts ( 2f, 1m ) that have gotten along just fine for about 2 years and regularly produce eggs. I don't really want to get into breeding right now so I just leave them in the tank with a see what happens attitude. I also have 5 juvi leucs that are eating me out of house and home. They are quite piggish little guys.
I will eventually obtain a couple of more species but as I said I'm taking it slow. I don't want a ton of vivs that require more work than enjoyment. I think allot of people jump into this hobby way to fast and have a pokemon kind of mentality that i've got to get them all and miss the true enjoyment of observing and learning about the frogs.
