ok Folks...I looked over the latest battle here - Rich versus Sidney and Shawn, and while it's expectedly snippy, I still see some sort of value in almost all posts. I have not deleted a single one yet. If anyone has a problem, concern, issue ect relative to these 2 pumilio threads...then please PM me and I'll address it.

Here's the bottom line. This is the forum that's gonna get you the "hard answers to the hard questions". This is the forum that's going to give you the info one who is fucking up in the hobby - ripping, flipping, taking, snatching, grabbing, boosting, lying, cheating. The other forum(s) aren't going to do any of that heavy lifting. Only this one. As ugly as it may seem - the sniping, the turd throwing, name calling....THAT's the price to pay for you to get access to all the "big boy info". Otherwise all we are left with is...an' say it with me...:

Now the down side.

People get butt-hurt. People create sockpuppet (fake name) accounts. People threaten to sue me and this site (2.5 people so far, and no, one of them was not a midget). I have to blow the whistle, referee and delete and give some time-outs. Then I'm told that I'm doing exactly what I said I wouldn't do (running a forum), called a liar, told that my "site is false" and even scolded and threatened in PM's and a voicemail.

Here's the deal people and I mean everyone..."man-up and handle your shit" (I'm channeling Kenny Powers here). This hobby and this forum is like a great big kegger. There are beer muscles a plenty. Get loud occasionally, spill some coors light, eat the chips but for F's sake...apologize / drop it and move on.

Hey Phil, nice post. I am glad to see all this got moved from Sid's feedback as it was kind of getting a little out of hand as far as feedback goes. Anyway I am in Western North Carolina, kind of near Asheville if you know where that is. I am a faithful bred and born Texan though. Originally from Houston. I also agree I think there needs to be some form of transparency in this hobby, or coarse not everything needs to be out in the open 100% of the time, but the only way we move forward is to all be on the same page. After all, most of us froggers have the same goals in mind right?

I'm curious...but where is the 500 pumilio number from? Because I have information saying directly otherwise. Who is your source? The exporter? I'm not fooled into fictionius things because they are VERY transparent. Please think about that.

Sure it is very easy to import pumilio. As long as you have the money and resources to import, then treat, and then quarantine the 500 pumilio minimum (that they usually require) as well as the 300 auratus they are going to MAKE you take then by all means go for it. Just because someone in Panama quotes you a specific price per pumilio, that does not mean in the slightest way shape or form you will have them in hand for that price. Well sure if you dont count in all the bs tack on fees, and import fees, and extra "fees" the exporter and importer will want for their time, plus all the qt tubs (dont forget youre going to need 800 of them), meds, time and effort to deal with the goat rope they tend to put us froggers through etc.

also I thought I would add that my user name is the same on every forum from kingsnake to db to dd to yahoo to whatever. If you look at it closely it is my last name with the first two letters of my first name directly behind it. William (wi) Wohlers (wohlers), now flip it and add it together and you have wohlerswi ! I miss Texas, but boy you must be from the dumb part of the state lol.

I can be suspect, and regardless if I was correct or not in being suspect....I think you're character certainly came off a bit strong here. I would never threaten anyone for any reason on the internet, and I am not sure what you took as threatening. If you could elaborate, then I will further clarify. I have proven who I am. And I wouldnt lie, when I know anyone can just go on f&w and check import license numbers for the last ten years. If you have ever imported anything or been part of an import then you would know that only one person over here has to have the license but that doesnt mean there arnt people funding, setting up and pulling the strings. I do not appreciate how you came off, and I dont appreciate the potential harm you could have done to my name. I'm VERY familar with the import/export process. You do not appear to be with tour statements. I also have knowledge of the ball python import market (when it existed), I highly doubt you were involved with that to the degree you are stating. I knew the people that were, the guys who sold them to the breeders. Perhaps not well, but well enough. Paying someone for a snake they imported....does not make you the importer!!! Really, it doesn't matter...but I can't stand people putting out misinformation.

What made me question you? The 500 frog minimum. Sidney has said that number several times to people. I figured it came from him or similar. You appear to be who you say you are, but really, that doesn't matter. I don't want to make this a thread about you or your business. I really don't care and I have no personal knowledge of you to cause any harm. What I do know, I state I knew. No harm has been done to you or your business besides your post where you go off on a tangent with bad grammar and you threaten me because you said something to the effort that your a large/tall man. I always find this the funniest when people bring this up, as being 6'4" (healthy & fit), very rarely do I have to look up to anyone I've met (it's happened just a couple times). I think so far I've posted a few things saying I believe you are who you say you are, perhaps you read those? The forum link? I have already stated what made me orginally suspect what I did. It is clear you maintained some contact to Sidney and have restated things from him and that likely has caused the confusion. As for me being called Tobias, it wasn't just suspected, but Sidney said that I was him without a doubt. I never made such claims because I was not sure.

Again, it was very clear you were using your "size" to threaten me, I can see no other point to making such a statement, especially when you were clearly upset.

I'll say it again....since you were at least 17, you have not imported ANYTHING. I really don't think this info pertains to this thread but I can't help but to correct this on a public forum, because I know this for sure. This is based on USFWS declaration data for the past 10 yrs. If this is incorrect, please message me with some sort of proof and I'll recant that info. Otherwise, let's leave it be. Personally, I have better things to do. More importantly, I don't feel it would be right for you to feel attacked anytime you posted info here.

Also, keeping animals in captivity, can not be considered conservation. It might lead towards conservational activities or support conservation, but in the hobbies case, is not conservation. As a herpetology student, I'm sure you agree with that. That's partial opinion on my part and mostly fact, though if contorted enough, one can attempt to say it is conservation. I'm sure that subject warrants another thread.

This one, I dug up (necro-ed) because it "fit" the current pumilio import discussion. I TEND to allow a lot more leniency to threads where the author -started the thread, doesn't mind that it meanders or goes down an occasional side track, like it did now. But I will step in and make sure it doesn't get into a shouting match, wee-wee measuring contest or equally inane display. We are getting close here, folks.

On false identities: They exist here as well as the other forums. Bet on it. I have IP address locate software and finding router addys and even street names where posting is from is not just "Scotland yard" stuff. I actually let the duplicate accounts alone and watch them, rather than 'out' them and publicly blow them out of the water right away.

You are insane if you think Strictly separates, quarantines, or treats anything in anything close to proper quarantine. They don't. And neither did Sidney Ferrell. Sidney has lied about his quarantine procedures and the fecal results "his vet" supposedly runs on all his stuff. Every single frog I have received from Sidney had either moderate or HIGH loads of at the very least, hookworms.
Your numbers are the ones which are off and misleading. If you can't find a group of hobbyists to split up costs you have not been in the hobby long enough to attempt to do a pum import correctly. Lying about most all points of the import was how Sidney got this last one done.
Mark P. has posted in-viv picks of his 'new' salt creek only days after hitting the ground. True quarantine takes well over a month. Especially WC, for gods' sake.

This is stupid, I posted a very long reply to both of you and it got deleted. Rich I never emailed you worried I wouldnt get my frogs, I emailed you asking to elaborate what you were talking about. If what you were saying was true about Sidney, then that could be very scary for a customer correct? I then talked to Sidney about all of this and he told me everything you guys were going through, and that was that. I got my frogs got everything as planned, and more. Im not backing any "horse" in this Rich. I also told you that I loved some of your frogs for a long time, and had always wanted some too didnt I? I was simply asking you a question that I as well as others, Im sure, were wondering. If Esperanza came in on this import, then why arn't they available now? If I have to be entitled in order to ask you a couple of questions, first question about why you were saying those things about someone I was currently doing business with (as any good consumer would do) and my second question about the esperanza, then I guess call me what you want.

I want to know why esperanza isnt on the list because quite frankly I need a male. Also I never once said that Strickly, or Sid, or anyone for that matter qt's did I? I said that is a necessary cost of doing a proper import, wouldnt you agree? Didnt I also go on to say that I know most importers dont qt, they just throw all the like individuals into the same bins. I am a responsible frogger. I do qt everything and can send you pics of all my frogs in qt tubs, I also get fecals done on all frogs before they leave qt three clean fecals!! I was simply pointing out that if "everyone" can import and its easy, done properly its very expensive and labor intensive. Would you also not agree? I also know that yes you can gather your buddies, or not even your buddies , just other individuals that would also like to throw in for some animals and get an import together (bluepumilio, if I have done this for a long time with a couple of close friends, one of which as always been the license, does that not still mean I am still importing these animals along with my close friends?) but thats not what we were talking about. We were talking about how it isnt really easy for the average person to try and handle an import correct? Im sorry you were talking about how easy it is for the average person. My bad I didnt mean to offer any kind of disagreement with you.

Can I not share what I have first hand experience with (admittedly now not with pumilio but with like I said mainly balls and hots) without getting jumped on? Ive never spoken with Sergio, and I take it you have some sort or relationship with him (not saying friendship or anything like that, just saying youve spoken with him at least), so I thought I would ask you why esperanza wasnt included in Sergios list since they JUST CAME IN!

As Rich pointed out, you type (grammar-wise) and act (threats & just crazy-talk) very similar to Sidney. You have only posted on here defending Sidney. Then you "regurgitated" stuff Sidney told you about importing (like 500 frogs min order). These things threw up major red flags for me as it would not be the only time I have seen people post under multiple accounts to defend their position or themselves. So, you're real, congrats! However, you have made statements that are lies to make yourself appear more grandiose then you are (importing, etc). If I didn't see the links to Sidney (mentioned above), I would not have cared and looked it up.

As for the Ezperanza on the list....all you have to do it ask. If you have the money and they can get the frogs (history says they can) then there is no problem obtaining them. There is nothing Sidney or anyone did that just lets them acquire them from the exporter, unless the export agreed to sell them only to them, and I can tell you, that is not the case. That locale just was not mentioned on the price list. A small amount of effort could easily add them...literally...key strokes.
